About the role
We are looking for an Industrial Product and Tool Designer (m/f/x) to join us on our mission to make lightweight components fit for the 21st century. Are you excited to design high-performance composite parts and the tools that bring them to life? Do you want to work at the intersection of design, engineering, and manufacturing, turning simulation data and manufacturing inputs into production-ready tools and molds? Are you curious about new workflows — from AI-assisted design to parametric modeling — and eager to help define how we build at scale? Do you thrive in a highly collaborative team within a fast-growing deep-tech company? And are you motivated by the opportunity to make a real difference in the climate emergency? Then you will love Holy.
What we are looking for
- You bring 2–3 years of experience in product or tool design, ideally within composites or industrial tooling.
- You are fluent in SolidWorks and have used it to develop real products, not just parts in isolation.
- You’ve studied Mechanical Engineering, Composite Engineering, or Industrial/Product Design, or gained equivalent experience through hands-on work.
- You care deeply about design quality, both in how things perform and how they look and feel.
- You’ve worked across disciplines before and enjoy collaborating with engineers, designers, and developers to get things built.
- You are structured, curious, and excited about learning new methods, tools, and workflows.
- You take ownership, enjoy solving open-ended design challenges, and want your work to have real-world impact.
You do not tick all the boxes? We are looking for driven candidates who most importantly add to our culture, and don’t just blend in. Feel free to submit an Unsolicited Application if you believe you are a fit.
What we offer
- Impact: Work on a meaningful solution in the fight against climate change with us.
- Growth: Learn from experienced colleagues, grow your knowledge, and expand your skills within your field or by entering new ones.
- Ownership: Take ownership and meaningfully shape an early-stage company.
- Competitive compensation: We believe in rewarding good work.
- Equity: We want you to become a part of us.
- Additional perks: We cover 50% of your costs for fitness (Wellpass), language courses, and the German public transport ticket.
- Pick your poison: Use the technical equipment of your choice including a meaningful home office set-up.
- Fun place to work: Enjoying work is crucial for us.
Holy is a hybrid company. This role is preferably located in our HQ in Hamburg with potential for a remote setup.
About us
Holy Technologies develops a highly scalable autonomous production system designed to revolutionize composite manufacturing.
We work with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers across various industries, including orthopedics, sports equipment, automotive, aerospace, and wind energy. Our automation solution enhances component weight, stiffness and recyclability while offering competitive costs comparable to Asian manufacturers, providing a sovereign and reliable manufacturing alternative within Europe.
Lightweighting is one of the key focus areas in manufacturing to date. Lightweight manufacturing contributes 7.8% to total tax revenue and around 1.3 million jobs in Germany alone. Our technology addresses 80% of components in the multi-billion-dollar composite market and is adaptable across various composite materials. It also enables the replacement of an increasing number of metal components with composites, expanding the possibilities for manufacturers.
